10-year tenure
Brand leadership across every club touchpoint
Over a 10-year tenure as Marketing and Brand Manager at Western Sydney Wanderers FC, Nat led the development, evolution and implementation of the club’s brand across all touchpoints.
This role extended beyond campaign delivery. It involved overseeing how the brand operated across match day, digital, community, commercial and internal environments, ensuring consistency, relevance and impact across a complex and fast-moving organisation.

Keeping one recognisable brand strong across a fast-moving club environment

Strategic oversight with hands-on creative direction

The focus was always on creating something that could be applied consistently in real-world conditions.

Managing the brand as a system, not a series of campaigns

Campaigns and systems that shaped the club brand
Key campaigns and systems delivered during this period include:

A season-wide identity transforming the stadium into a unified visual statement of pride and community.

A milestone campaign celebrating 10 years of the club, delivered across digital, stadium and physical environments.

Sustained brand growth across 10 years
The work delivered sustained brand and marketing impact across a 10-year tenure with Western Sydney Wanderers, contributing to significant growth in fan engagement and membership, including reaching over 20,000 members.
Nat led brand and entertainment strategy for major moments such as the 2014 AFC Champions League Final, achieving sell-out crowds, and played a key role in building a strong, recognisable club identity across multiple touchpoints.
This work included the development of award-recognised campaigns, including a Mumbrella Award for Data Driven Marketing and a nationally shortlisted campaign for fan engagement.
It also extended into community and stakeholder initiatives, including the launch of the W-League Women’s Mentoring Program, strengthening connection between the club, its audience and broader networks.

Brand is built through repeated, consistent experiences
Ten years as Brand Manager across a hero brand and its sub-brands provided deep, practical experience in how brands operate at scale.
The role required ongoing stewardship of the core brand, while continuously refining sub-brands to connect with different audiences without losing overall consistency. This was informed by data, audience insight and a close understanding of Western Sydney’s strong cultural connection to football.
Working across sold-out matches, finals series, match day environments and community programs reinforced that brand is not built through isolated campaigns. It is shaped through consistent application over time, across every touchpoint.
The experience also involved working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, aligning multiple contributors around a shared direction.
This required balancing creative thinking with operational realities.
Ultimately, it reinforced a simple truth. Brand is not design in isolation. It is the relationship between an organisation and its audience, built through repeated, consistent experiences. It requires discipline, clarity and long-term commitment to create something that people genuinely connect with.
